(theLID is a dance-music event by Ayman Harper merging the renowned muscians Matmos and professional dancers to create a musical score in which the physical body initiates, creates, and sustains sounds. The performance is an experiment in creating a hybrid ensemble of musicians and dancers to create a score which is rich in layers of movement, visuals, and musical narratives. The performers explore the use of their bodies as instruments of sound while Matmos records the activities live and interprets movement into sound.
